New kit w/matching freebie!

Holy neglected blog, Batman! I’ve got a lot to catch y’all up on tonight! Finally I’m back with a new release for Friday, and a matching freebie. Yippee!!! This whole month has pretty much been a wash for me on the designing front since my son hasn’t had daycare, but this past week I’ve been making some great progress. Guess I’ve gotten over my creative slump for the time being!

We’ll dive right in with the previews of my newest kit that I just released at Digital Candy tonight. This little gem was originally created as a mini kit given to everyone who participated in the first Speed Scrap that MickeyB & I hosted a few weeks ago. I loved working with this so much that I couldn’t let it stop there, so created a full kit out of it instead. Little Dreamer will be on sale for 25% off from now through August 15th!

Next Speed Scrap:

Back to the Speed Scrap mentioned above – the next one is the weekend of August 15th (10pm EST) & 16th (8am EST). Michelle (Mickey B Designs) & I had such a great time hosting! I even managed to put together a few LO’s before the scrap was over, too. I’m going to post again either tomorrow or over the weekend because I have had quite a bit of time to work on more LO’s of my little guy that I’d love to share I’ve still got some LO’s to post of our trip back to New York at the beginning of the month, as well as the fun day Michelle & I had last week when Ben & I went to her house for the afternoon. This was the first time we’d been able to meet in person, and have plans to do it again really soon, too. I’m so excited that we only live a few hours away from each other.

I’m so excited to finally be releasing this kit! I’ve been working on this kit here and there for a few weeks now, and couldn’t wait to show all of you! Low Tide is packed with fun beach goodies and tons of beautiful papers, many created from a blend of original pictures and various digital techniques. 20 papers, and over 60 elements, with a color palette inspired from the gorgeous beach pictures that Yvonne W. provided for me to use in the creation of this kit.

Tomorrow was supposed to be the last day to snag my grab bag for $3, but I’ve decided to do something else. I’ll be revealing the previews of all that’s found inside the grab bag here & at Digital Candy tomorrow, then you’ll have the opportunity to still get the entire grab bag still for only $3 through Monday evening! After next Tuesday, all of the items will be available separately in my store at their regular introductory prices.

New Product Friday!

Ok… disregard the statement in my last post about putting new products into my store every Wednesday… let’s make it Fridays instead! I’ll try to stick to that schedule as closely as possible so you guys don’t have to guess when I’ll have something new! Let’s start with the expansion of my Start Me Up Collection! I added a few more today, and have several more in the works for the coming weeks. Today I added two frame packs, and one tag set. My designs for the “A Woman’s Way” kit is now back in my store. Originally sold as a collaborative kit, my portion of this kit is now available on its own.  I included a coordinated add-on originally offered as a challenge participation prize to round out this kit. Introducing my CT!

I’m so excited to announce my newest members of my CT! In addition to my newest permanent CT members, I would also like to welcome LoriJ & rach3975 that have joined me this month as guest CT’s. You’ll be seeing more of these ladies’ work in my product gallery at Digital Candy very soon! Thank you again to everyone who sent in applications. I spent most of today sending out replies to everyone’s application that I’d received, as well as a few invitations for more of my upcoming monthly guest CT spots, too.

I haven’t been able to get much work done this week, but do have many new designs in the works! I have a kit that I was unable to get completed in time for NSD that will be released the beginning of June, as well as putting together items for my very first grab bag. Stay tuned for exciting details on what’s coming up at Digital Candy next month!

Tonight before I head to bed I’m finally getting my Melon Ball kit into the store at Digital Candy. It will be available for only $2.49 for the remainder of this month! In the works for NSD…

Well, I made it back safely from my girl’s weekend! Had a great time – got a great mani/pedi – and more importantly was able to spend some quality time with my BFF. Gotta tell you… girl talk is good for the soul! I came back totally refreshed and feeling incredibly creative! Which is a great thing for all of you!

NSD Events

With National Scrapbook Day on the horizon for next Saturday, I couldn’t be more excited! This is my first time actually participating, as this time last year I wasn’t really doing layouts, let alone my own designs. There will be lots of happenings at Digital Candy, so be sure to mark your calenders. I’ll be having a big sale in my store – celebrating not only NSD, but also becoming an exclusive designer at Digital Candy. I’ve got 3 new kits that will be hitting my store by next weekend – all at a very special price, for a limited time. One of which is a collab. kit with Mandy Mystiques, that I can’t wait for everyone to see!! First of all…. it’s HUGE!! I just finished my part of it – with over 50 elements alone. Sneak Peeks… Freebies.. & news!

I don’t even know what to start with tonight! There’s quite a bit going on in my little corner of the ‘net that I’d love to share with all of you. I think I was a little overambitious with my ideas of having more than one store, given that I don’t have a heck of a lot of free time to begin with. So, I made the difficult decision of choosing which store to stay with, and have chosen to only sell at Digital Candy. I will only continue to sell at Stone Accents Studio through the end of this month. I’ll miss everyone at SAS, and it’s been such a great place to belong to. I think this is the best decision for me at this time though, and I’m looking forward to being able to devote more time to Digital Candy. I’m also looking forward to having more time to focus on my designing. Take a look below to see what else is going on!

I’ve hit a groove with this little kit, and am really starting to have a final vision for it. This part is especially cute, now that you can start to see a little more of the overall style of the kit. The first two parts were comprised of mostly basics… now we’re getting into the heart of it! and a little something for you….

I’m putting together a kit for all of you that will be released sporadically in little installments. Since I haven’t designed the complete kit yet, I’m not really sure what direction it will take – just depends on what I’m feeling at the time The first installment includes 3 slightly roughed up papers (each slightly different), showing you the basic color scheme of the kit. Also included is a straight stitched line, and a 5″ x 7″ overlay – perfect for putting over or under a photograph, using as a journal block, or matte. Can easily be recolored or changed using different blending options. Be sure to check back for additions to this kit! Have suggestions for it? Feel free to put them in my comments, and you just may see it in future parts of the kit! Enjoy
